The Kinysis family of products is the latest lightweight, rugged tablet computers from DAP Technologies. Featuring the Microsoft Windows® Embedded Standard operating system, these Kinysis computers provide the power and energy needed to move your business forward.
The Kinysis 8900KS computer features a full QWERTY keyboard for fast data entry, with a half-SVGA touch screen display. The Kinysis 8900VS computer features an anti-glare, WVGA display with touch-screen, usable with a stylus, or even a gloved finger. Both models offer an optional Universal Imager with 3MP camera with auto-focus and flash, 1D/2D barcode reader, OCR and video capture.
Field computing is expedited via wireless communications, including Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g). Data can also be transmitted in real-time from the field to the main server, using the optional 3G WWAN, or collected on the Kinysis and synchronized later as needed.
The fully rugged Kinysis meets MIL-STD-810F for free-fall drop resistance, immersion, rain, humidity and vibration. Environmentally sealed to IP67, it can withstand immersion in up to 1 meter of water, and emerge with full functionality. Plus, both versions feature a primary battery with a standard secondary, hot-swappable battery - providing longer operating time compared to other tablet computers.
Utilizing DAP’s modular technology, each customer can tailor these versatile computers with any customized software needed. The Kinysis truly is the most versatile computer available for rugged field operations in the tablet form factor.
