Solution:
- DAP Technologies recommended the CE5000X equipped with radio frequency identification (RFID) cards, allowing for optimised stock management and real-time data transmission.
- Each keg is equipped with an RFID (radio frequency identification) label and individual identification number.
- The operator using the CE5000X simply swipes the label and number to obtain an immediate record of the keg’s status and location, allowing for efficient keg maintenance, rotation and inventory control.
- The terminals also permit operators to enter real-time data throughout the production process, enabling immediate quality and production control.
- With mobile and automatic data collection, the unit also offers key reporting features, such as intervention reports and statistical analysis.
Results:
- The CE5000X improved Estrella de Galicia’s productivity levels and traceability capabilities by allowing the company to follow and control the kegs through the production, distribution and delivery cycles.
- With the CE5000X mobile computing system, Estrella de Galicia easily and efficiently identifies and monitors the status of each keg produced.
- As a testament to Estrella de Galicia’s initial success with the CE5000X, the company purchased 70 additional units.
