End of Life Notification April 25, 2007 Dear Valued DAP TECHNOLOGIES Partner, This letter provides notification of the end of life for the following XScale (PXA255) DAP Technologies product lines:
Mainly due to the fact that their microprocessor, the Marvel PXA255, is going End-Of-Life with a last time buy in June 2007, all above mentioned rugged handheld computers will cease manufacturing on January 31st, 2008. We will however continue to service this product in accordance with current or future maintenance agreements, or until January 31st, 2011 which ever is the longer time period. Effective now for the above mentioned products, the maximum DAPcare contract length is 3 years and DAP TECHNOLOGIES will not be liable in case of unavailability or obsolescence of parts or components during the course of the service contract. Orders for these products will be accepted until August 1, 2007 (existing blankets will be honored) with deliveries scheduled until January 31st 2008. New Bulverde platform brings Rugged Mobile Computing to the next level We suggest that you now take the opportunity to evaluate our Bulverde (PXA270) series which have the same form factors as the Xscale (PXA255) and now all run on Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 operating system. The Bulverde series offers a much more powerful Intel Xscale (Bulverde) PXA270 520 MHz (520MHZ) processor, more memory and many more options such as embedded WLAN 802.11b/g or Blue Tooth With the Bulverde’s aDAPtable End-Caps, DAP can offer you the solution that specifically meets your application most stringent requirements.
